Mandelic Acid Peel
Want to refresh your skin but fear the irritation and sensitivity of acid treatments? Do you long to resolve the comedones, acne, and dullness on your face, yet always hold back because you have sensitive skin? What you need is a resurfacing option that is both effective and gentle enough. Mandelic acid is a "lipophilic fruit acid" in a benzene-ring form. It is gentle and non-irritating, with better penetration than ordinary fruit acids and is unlikely to cause redness or swelling. It can effectively inhibit "tyrosinase" and "tyrosine" in the skin, blocking melanin production, and can gently metabolize aged keratin without harming healthy skin while unclogging pores. It has remarkably outstanding effects on enlarged pores, oily skin, and comedone improvement, and is especially an ideal entry point for sensitive skin and first-time resurfacing users.
Why is mandelic acid "the resurfacing treatment most suitable for sensitive skin"? The key lies in its cleverness and gentleness.
-
Gentle, because of its high "lipophilicity." It has excellent affinity with the skin, penetrating slowly like a fine drizzle rather than striking like a downpour. Therefore the process is gentle and non-irritating, taking away only aged keratin without disturbing healthy skin, and redness or swelling is unlikely to occur after the treatment.
-
Clever, because it strikes directly at the "root of oil and acne." This "lipophilicity" also makes it a favorite for "oily skin" and "comedones and acne." It can easily penetrate deep into oil-filled pores, improving blockage and inhibiting bacteria from the root, achieving a deeper resurfacing effect than many fruit acids.
-
Unique, because it also has a "whitening function." In terms of whitening, the special structure of mandelic acid can cleverly "deceive" the key enzyme of melanin production, making it temporarily go on strike, blocking melanin formation from the source and gently breaking down already-formed spots and dullness. Your true experience: the entire process feels cool and refreshing like applying mint, very comfortable. After application, you will immediately notice your whole face becomes fine, white, and translucent, and even acne scars and spots fade somewhat.

Professional Treatment Procedure
Treatment time: approximately 1–1.5 hours. Recovery time: no recovery period.
-
Gentle cleansing: Use cleansing products exclusively for sensitive and fragile skin, gently washing away dirt and oil from the face with skin-friendly ingredients.
-
Acid application care: According to individual needs, gently brush mandelic acid onto the face and leave it on for 10–15 minutes.
-
Conditioning and repair: Neutralize the resurfacing solution on the face with clean water, wiping away the aged keratin and metabolic products produced by the mandelic acid.
-
Comedone clearing: Extract comedones and acne so that the pores can absorb the active ingredients in the subsequent treatment.
-
Moisturizing repair: Then use hyaluronic acid moisturizing essence for moisturizing infusion and repair.
-
Calming mask: A mask soothes after the treatment, calming the skin and strengthening moisture retention.
Mandelic Acid Resurfacing Pre-Treatment Notes
- Within 2 weeks before the treatment, if you have undergone other medical aesthetic treatments, please inform the on-site staff.
- Stop using skincare and beauty products, scrubs, and sponges 1 week before the treatment.
- Do not undergo laser treatments or exfoliate 1 week before the treatment.
- Stop using irritating products and medications such as fruit acids 3 days before the treatment.
- Avoid sunburn on the treatment area.
- Do not use razors or any hair-removal actions on the treatment area.
- Avoid wearing makeup on the day of the treatment.
Mandelic Acid Resurfacing Post-Treatment Notes
- Within one week after the treatment, do not perm or dye your hair, do facial threading/exfoliation, or remove hair.
- Within one week after the treatment, do not undergo irritating care. After the treatment, due to the metabolism of aged keratin, peeling or brown scabbing may occur, which is normal. As long as you moisturize well, it generally disappears in 3–5 days; please do not rub or tear it off.
- When first receiving mandelic acid gentle-whitening resurfacing treatment, an increase in acne and comedones may occur (please do not worry, this is normal!). This is because the mandelic acid removes aged keratin on the skin surface, pushing out the comedones and acne within the pores.
- Those receiving mandelic acid resurfacing should avoid makeup on the day; depending on the situation, light makeup may resume the following day, but it is recommended not to wear heavy makeup within 3 days.
- Within three days of receiving mandelic acid resurfacing, avoid bathing and playing in water at public bathing facilities such as hot springs, saunas, or swimming pools.
- Unless directed by a physician, do not use isotretinoin (A-acid) preparations or any other medications (including medicated cosmetics) to avoid irritating the skin.
Recommended Complementary Treatments
- Laser treatments: For example, picosecond laser, honeycomb laser, or M22 IPL, which can help improve uneven skin tone, tighten pores, and refine skin texture.
- Skin booster injection: Combining moisturizing and collagen ingredients, skin booster injection after the mandelic acid treatment can help enhance the skin's hydration and luminosity.
- Skin booster infusion: Paired with exosome products, it can more effectively penetrate into the deep layers of the skin, promoting cell regeneration and repair.
- Manual face-slimming sculpting: Using exosome products paired with essential oils helps promote facial blood circulation and detoxification and tightens the V-shaped face, enhancing the lasting effect after the treatment.
